Making a New Album: Takeoff

After a great final concert in Switzerland on November 4th, we all went home to pack our gear and got a few hours rest before the alarm woke us back up at 5:30 am. Since we travel with a bunch of gear, we were more than thankful for the great support and service we received from American Airlines - they really have a heart for musicians!

The flight was smooth, and being in limbo above the clouds is always a blessing anyways. It’s not just about geografically moving towards the destination, but also about preparing the mind for the next two weeks. And, of course, there’s a lot of work to be done, songs to be written and edited. Time flew by (literally!) and before we knew it, cabin crew said «Welcome to New York»!

And then we’re in the city. The breathing, loud, living city. Our heads are spinning - partly from the jetlag, partly from enjoying the upward view. And yes, the jetlag eventually took its toll, and sleep won.

Tomorrow we’ll start recording at the Studio G in Brooklyn. We can’t wait! Once we get started, we’ll post regular updates on our work - so stay tuned!

The background music in the video is a preproduction for one of our new tracks called «New Day».
